Good health means good news

Greetings, I am Mrs C who is now thank fully in good health, thanks to my sweet, loving hubby who took good great care of me each time my pregnancy signs keep bringing up its "toll" ^_^; Still, what makes me happy(though a little shy to know at first) was that he even blog about our first pregnancy starting from that very beginning where I had my very first continuously awkward tummy gas, my loss of appetite, bearing with my nausea x_x and that dreadful long coughs, running nose and sore throats which i still had the"shivers" each time I had a sudden cough or sneeze, in fear that it(the cough cum running nose and sore throat, in short, I'll call them that dreadful tripod) might be back.

Now that I am better, I will be sharing my experience since my husband decided that I should be holding the ropes to blog about our pregnancy because I am the one carrying our baby inside. Anyway it took me quite awhile(as you might have noticed a whole two months plus of non-blogging here) to get used to that idea (of blogging) because I wasn't sure how to even begin, but here I am erm, blogging ^w^ now.

To make up for it, I think about two weeks back, I had my blood taken because my doctor found in my urine test that I had an unusually high sugar level, so in order to minus out the possibility of diabetes whether or not due to pregnancy, that "ouch" painful deed (blood extraction) was done. Thankfully, two weeks later, I am cleared, but my doctor advised me to be careful on my sugar intake, so aye aye, "avoid sugar" already embedded in my head and now strict hubby too ^_^;.

Then came something new again, actually since my healing from that dreadful tripod, I experience something that I think its very unlike my usual self: you see, I was confused by my heavy crying for no reason which seems to happened at the most ungodly hours (sleep time). I believe now its probably called mood swings, because I remembered reading somewhere in the internet and then speaking about it to my sister.. since I thought I might be homesick because I now live far from my parents and siblings. Then came an additional combo; I couldn't sleep well, my neck or was it my left ear feels really painful each time I lie on my pillow trying to sleep. Imagine my surprise when me and my hubby went to see our doctor who found it was ear infection! I'm pretty sure I've got clean ears, mind you, because I always take the trouble to clean them every once a week. Then again the doctor, it could happen to anyone, just like sore throat, sigh, not another infection again T_T.

As regards to my mood swings, another sigh, actually not much can be done about it, according to my doctor, she only suggested that I try take up some kind of meditating classes or find a group that had a common interest as me being pregnant, so that I would feel more comfortable about my changing body, in other words acceptance.

2 days fallback

Its been 2 days that i didn't post any news about my wife here, and not to worry, she's fine. Just that, am tired on this 2 days, due to not enough sleep. Its been not much of improvement for my wife current status. Still the same, vomit and nauseas are symptoms happening which is i think it does happen to pregnant women around the world. Some say theres nothing worry about, but for me as a husband, i think most man do know how i feel now. Inside our heart, i'm sure there is a pin which is pinning on it. Yes its painful due to worries.

My wife still having those medicine given from doctors, and eat on time. But the bad thing is, the coughing medicine just finished, i'm not sure whether shall i get her a new one or not? Mrs.C mentioned that while pregnant, you can't take too much of the coughing medicine and also anti-biotics, cos it is harmful to the baby. Scary to me..

Today, Mrs.C mentioned that she felt the baby kicking her when she feels that the baby is actually hungry. Was surprise but not sure whether at this stage, baby knows how to kick already. First i saw baby dancing, now kicking? Hmm... Baby sure is active, am glad that baby is.

Its 2:43am here now, while i was typing this post, my wife actually accidentally choke herself, she forgot that she had a lozenges inside her mouth while chewing it, and fall asleep. I was shock when seeing her coughing and spitting out phlegms. Lucky everything was ok after spitting out the lozenges also. She fall asleep due to the medicine ate earlier. I was about to type in some other thing, but with the incident, suddenly everything like erased from my brain after seeing wife coughing like that.

I will try posting here again tomorrow, if you are a mom, would you recommend me to get her the coughing medicine from the doctor again? And thanks in advance for the advice.

All wells turn out to be temporary

This morning, when i woke up, i notice something seriously changed, the dustbin of rubbish wasn't full. :)

At first i thought it was cleaned up, but actually she didn't. She didn't cough much phlegms this morning. But worst thing is, last night, the whole night, yes, she cough badly whole night. The throat is like icthy that what she claimed, lucky that there is no more more stuffy nose.

Today, she really feeling better a bit, i think because of the medicine that the gynae doctor gave,

Remember that i told you about how big is the pills? Just take a look at that anti-biotic... its big. Anyway, she took a light 2 pieces of bread Gardenia this morning for the breakfast and drink a cup of Anmum. Which is good for pregnant women and baby inside the stomach, helping growth of baby's brain that is what i know.

And about the Anmum, at first i bought a 400g tin, it cost about RM21.90 previously, and its going to finished, so i bought a new one, which i think it is cheaper and more, the 900g, cost RM42.90.

In the afternoon as for lunch i bought something back, which i didn't manage to cook today,

She didn't manage to finish it, and she split to eat 2 times for that meal. Afternoon time, what i really worry is, i thought all was well and who knows it turn out to be a temporary well only, at least she cough less, and no more tissue of phlegms, but worst thing of all pregnant women wouldn't like is vomit. Today she vomit many times, whatever she eat, its almost 80% vomited out. Really worry about her health and also the baby. I can't really understand how come pregnant women vomit? What makes them vomit? I always feel worries when i saw her vomit.

Its 12:05am here, and she just went to sleep, after vomiting in the toilet. Its like the whole day that she is inside the toilet, and like didn't have much food inside her body. I hope tomorrow she will be better and strong. I was hoping that once she is well, this blog will be written by her personally, sharing her experience on having a baby and being a pregnant women. Here, i really proud of all women in the world, who had baby before, really proud of all your courage and strong to carry a baby inside your body.

As always, i will be posting more about her daily life, while pregnant time. Still checking out, whether that she can eat orange or not? Some say yes, and some say no. Not sure which is right.

Our baby at 10 weeks 4 days

Early in the morning wake up, and saw this basket full of tissue, and those tissue are actually phlegm(s).

Since the days when she gets sickness, she already making these tissue of phlegms. What worry me more is that, she is still coughing, and running nose in daytime, while at night, got stuffy nose. She have little meal only when lunch, and left this

She can't eat much, and appetite is not good. Today need to go see gynae doctor, we have an appointment at 5pm near Seri Kembangan. We arrive there early and already notice there are a lot of pregnant women waiting for the doctor there. Lucky that we have the 3rd turns.

She was asked to take weight and also urine test. After waiting for about 10 minutes its our turn. While talking to the lady gynae doctor, she was worry about my wife fever thing, she said, "You still have a little fever, and it could be due to bacteria infected" And then she recommend her, with no choice, take anti-biotic medicine, its 625mg and man, the pill looks big. Worry how my wife going to swallow that. After the conversation, my wife have to lie down on a bed next to us, and have a ultra-sound check on our baby. I was going to take a photo snapshot of our baby, which is now 37mm height, and he/she is 10 weeks, 4 days old. It is clearly see that our baby moves a lot and is active, and i thought baby is dancing around my wife stomach :), we can even see shape of baby's 2 leg and 2 hand moving around, so cute. Pretty happy about it, till i forgot to take the snapshot, and asked the doctor to print out for me and took a shot.

And baby is estimated to born on 18th Dec 2008. Wow, how they calculate it inside? But its just estimation but not sure the exact date yet.

My wife went to sleep early today, my best guess is because of the medicine that the doctor gave. It will make us sleepy and drowsy. Hope that she can sleep well tonight.

Late night sleep problems while pregnant

Its about 1:09am here now, my wife, Mrs.C, been trying to sleep since 12am, but couldn't sleep and hard to breath with the nose block, and coughing status. What was claim to be is, her nose are dry and its blocking her nose breathing, she have to use open mouth to breath... Kind of worry about her. And when she is coughing, and also frames came out, and its white transparent type, some more, vomited out some porridge which i've cooked earlier.

I just noticed that this could be the reason that she get soar throat and feeling sick, few days back the day before she got sick, she had grapes and guavas, both not sure which is the main cause, but i'm sure not going to let her eat those again.

Last night, her stomach feel a little pain and headache.. is these all the symptoms that a mother will experienced when pregnant time? Now i really understand how hard it is to be a mother, even though i am a man. Going through so much pain and suffer, really worry about my wife.

Today late in the evening, we'll be visiting the doctor. As we have an appointment with the doctor 4 weeks ago. It is said to have another check-up to be safe. Hope that this time, i can take some photo of our baby inside her mother's stomach now. I will be posting some updates later on after we went to the doctor.

Cook lunch and dinner for my wife

Its 12pm and my Mrs.C still having fever, coughing and a little flu sniff sniff. Her body feel weak and no choice, i have to cook porridge for her. My special recipe, on the porridge in which i think it is suitable for pregnant women.

Mr.C's Special Porridge.
1. Dried Red Dates - 5 pcs of it, which cut into half.(washed throughly before putting in.)

2. Dried Chinese Wolfberries - at least 10~15 pcs (what i heard is, it is good to recover blood circulation.)

3. Ginger - 1 pcs cut into half also.

4. 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
5. 1 small bowl of rice, washed.
6. Half pots of water.

PS : There is no quarantee that my special porridge would suit all women's taste. And there is no confirm medical that it is safe or not.

Cooked for about 25 minutes. And it sure smell good. The taste? Have to ask Mrs.C. And her answer to the taste of this special porridge, "Lo gong, the porridge taste smooth and good, and last but not least, it also got taste of heart."

Was glad that she like the porridge. After the lunch meal, there is still some left for dinner. She ate medicine which is given by the Doctor earlier when we visit the clinic on Thursday. That day where, she started to have soar throat, a bit fever. Its was what known that 20% of pregnant women would have this case. Coughing was worst after the day we see a doctor.

At this time, i am sure most of us as a husband, sure will be worry sick. She doesn't have a good night sleep, same goes to me, which i need to look after her at night.

Will be posting again later today, on my wife's current condition.

About My Wife's Pregnant Diarys

This is the first post about my wife's pregnant diary, yes, she is pregnant now, and its almost near 8 weeks. Its our first child. Some experience hopefully can share out to other new mom, or even others will post about their experience while pregnant.

Introducing myself, it would be nice that i'll be known as Mr.C, while my wife Mrs.C. Which is also my surname start with the C character. I think its a bit late on posting the experience after nearly 8 weeks that Mrs.C pregnant, but starting onwards, i will be posting her daily condition on both mother and baby, and what experience she is having.

Back on to the 1st month of Mrs.C pregnant, we didn't know nor even sure that we had a baby after our wedding on 12th March 2008, thats our exact wedding date. Mrs.C noticed that she had her period late, on 15th April 2008, and we thought that it could be some delay of her period, so waited for another week, to be sure. We didn't go see any doctor, due to our financial budget.

After the week as we mentioned earlier, we went to Watson, in a shopping mall, and bought a Pregnancy tester. We didn't have any experience on choosing the right tester nor any sales person approach us, without thinking of brand, we just grab the mid-range price.

After reach home, without waiting for tomorrow morning to have a more accurate result, i asked Mrs.C to test it out on that night. Surprisingly, 22th April 2008, the day that I know that he is a going to be a father. :) by looking at the 2 line on the pregnancy tester.

Few days later, Mrs.C having gassy on stomach, half-vomit often, the worst thing is what Mrs.C ate, all vomitted.. poor Mrs.C. I was so worry about her, and have to go see a doctor the next day. We went to a clinic just opposite our house. While having an appointment with the doctor, shes a lady doc, we told the doc that Mrs.C have tested with a pregnancy tester and confirmed that she is pregnant, but when the doc uses the ultra-sound machine type, putting on Mrs.C stomach, the doc say... "hmm..maybe its too early to hear." I think so maybe.. but the machine she had, i heard that its not so powerful. I guess i have to take Mrs.C to a another clinic which is specialist in pregnant women.

I think i have miss out some part which Mrs.C are having awful day throughout this few weeks, which i hope i could remember and hopefully she will, and posted out here later, while posting Mrs.C daily pregnant experience. And will have more image on our baby in our next few post, throughout the days and months she will be going through.
